Most recently, I was honored by the Triton Museum in Santa Clara, California. They held a statewide photography contest and of the 700 entries, 3 of my photographs where chosen. Below are my entries for your viewing pleasure.
Burano Boats was taken on a trip throughout Italy. It was a wonderfully overcast day which made the colors even more vivid.
Pinnacles Before Night was captured near Stinson beach in northern California. The tide was coming in along with the fog. The sun was beginning to dip on the horizon. There was very little time to make this shot as if I stayed in this location, the only way out would be to scale the cliff behind me or swim for it. Luckily, timing was perfect and made it back to higher ground, dry.
Lastly, Sunset Spray was taken beneath the pier which leads to the "Cement Ship", the S.S. Palo Alto in Aptos, CA. Once again, tide was coming in and the sun was setting. Time again to get my feet wet.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these prints, please feel free to send me an e-mail with your request. In the display at the Triton Museum, they are all printed on metal with a high gloss or satin finish.

Our latest journey took us the beautiful province of British Columbia. We started in Vancouver and explored the city. After two days, we drove over 400 km to Campbell River. Staying at Painters Lodge (a fishing lodge believe it or not) to begin are hunt for the North American grizzly bear. We headed up Bute Inlet by boat to the First Nations of the Homalco Indian Band. There we encountered our grizzly bears! What a sight.

This was a quiet Fourth of July for the most part. We did hang out with neighbors to celebrate. Dark came upon us and with no official fireworks for our area, we made our own show. (Note: these were all safe and sane fireworks with close adult supervision).

Two weekends ago, my wife and I spent time in San Francisco and Sausalito, CA. We also ventured to Muir Woods, home of the giant redwoods of California and the Marin Headlands. Here are a few shots of this amazing part of California. Enjoy!

So I promised not to bore you with travel photos. However, Italy is one great photo opportunity. My wife and I spent time in Venice, Burano, Lucca, Cinque Terre, San Gimignano, Volterra and ending up in Milan. Here's a sampling of the photos of a beautiful country. I will let the photos speak for themselves...for the most part.
